PROCASUR believes that viable solutions are already available to fight rural poverty in the Global South and that the fastest way to scale them up is through the exchange of practitioners. Time, practice and years of fieldwork have made PROCASUR understand the importance of local champions in rural development investments and advocate in favour of their inclusion.
PROCASUR, was pleased to attend the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) second edition of its Global Staff Meeting (GSM) on the 22nd of February 2016, a knowledge-sharing event that brought together 593 IFAD staff members from all over the world. The Global Staff Meeting (GSM) provided IFAD staff and partners with a unique opportunity to come together, share views on IFAD's priorities, celebrate achievements, forge relationships, learn from each other and have fun.
During IFAD’s Learning Days, Procasur Corporation took part in a learning session on tools and approaches for sharing innovative solutions. We also had the opportunity to present the new 3 years IFAD-PROCASUR cross-regional program “Local Knowledge for Global South Innovation” involving Latin America and Africa, with a special attention to Asia experiences and their local champions too. Each regional division shared their experiences with a wide variety of innovations and knowledge management approaches.
